- Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement social activities that will benefit the SPHA.
- Develop budget for social activities and deliver proposed budget needs to the Treasurer at the June budget workshop.
- The Social committee has a budget to cover expenses of events. All expense receipts must be submitted to the administrative assistant to be processed as a reimbursement. The form for reimbursements is in the template file and requires two board signatures before submitting to the accountants. The dates are picked by the board and social committee. The events we have as traditional community functions are;
- Yard Sale Spring/Fall usually the spring is first week of May and Fall is in September
- We have someone put out and put away community yard sale signs that are stored in the gatehouse. Gate arms are to be open at 7am and close at Noon.
- Administrative Assistant will send reminder email notices to community.
- Contact Goodwill of Savanah for box to be dropped off on Friday and taken back after event on Saturday Tom 912-257-5129
- Spring Egg Hunt in the past we have had it at the clubhouse and/or at the playground/pavilion area. Usually the week before Easter Sunday, on Saturday morning.
- Santa Visit in December, historically Santa has ridden through the community on a fire truck with a visit with the children at the clubhouse after for refreshments.
- Humane Society donations drive, historically a volunteer has offered to take donations to the humane society that are dropped off at the clubhouse during chosen events in the community.
